Back in the blog!

Oh my goodness! It has been so long since I've blogged! I spent about an hour this morning catching up on everyone's blogs. I have a TON of pictures from this weekend. Which I'll post on a separate blog. I had so much fun but yesterday was drama filled, just what I need. (not). I don't want to get too much into it but I could definitely use some pleasant thoughts.

So, late Thursday we left to go to Ohio. But first, Jordan and I had a date night, our first by ourselves since July....and that was just a trip out on his dad's boat...which broke lol. But, we saw Zombieland which was awesome. I recommend it. It had a fair amount of cursing though. Then we left at like 4am. We drove through three states. Virginia, West Virginia and Ohio. West Virginia was really pretty, it reminded me of home and made me want to go back, but, it seemed like the state went on for forever.

We were late to the rehearsal but it was ok because nearly everyone else was too. We had to stop at a gas station before hand to get changed because we were in our pajamas, which are great for driving lol.

after the rehearsal, we ate at this really nice Italian restaurant called Buca di Peppo and had our food served family style, meaning they sit a big plate down and you share it with everyone. Everyone on Joe's side of the family were amazed that Jordan was a Marine and they were all asking him questions about it.

Then after the rehearsal, we got to our hotel room which was amazing! It was so nice. And so was the hotel. It had 2 flat screen tv's and an nice bathroom. And the morning of the wedding, we went down to the hotel's restaurant and had breakfast there. I was running late and Jordan took the car to get his haircut and the guy at the front desk said there was a barber in the mall across the road but there wasn't one so he had to drive the maze that was westerville to find one. Then after that, I had to get ready and go to target to pick Rosslyn up some tights, and Jordan some razors. Everyone in the wedding party had to be at the church at noon...and we were all late. So I rode with Jami and my cousin Marie to the church. And Jordan stayed with Rosslyn so he could finish getting ready. It was a crazy hectic day. As soon as Rosslyn saw me, she reached for me and started crying. Luckily the wedding wasn't long then we went back to the hotel because one of Jordan's ribbons kept falling off of his blues, but before that, I accidentally dropped the start that goes on his Iraqi Campaign Medal in the floor and the carpet in the hotel was dark so we couldn't find it. But Jami called Joe and had him bring one to the church and he saved the day!!! lol. Then after the wedding, we took a super long way to the reception by accident and got there in the nick of time to have all of the wedding party introduced.

The food was so yummy, they had chicken and steak for dinner and garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. And wedding cake for dessert of course. And the best part, it was an open bar!! LOL Even though I didn't drink, I did like being able to get pop to drink instead of just water. We didn't do too much dancing because Rosslyn was being very fussy and we just wanted to get home. And on our way home, we made a pit stop to McDonald's in our outfits from the wedding still lol.

Then on sunday we went to eat with my aunt Margaret and my cousins Melanie and Elizabeth and their daughters Bailey and Lexi. It was very messy and I'm sure Jordan felt out of place being the only guy there. We decided to drive down through Cincinnati and Louisville to see his mom and take a break and rest there. We got up at like 4am and left and made the long trek back home. It was raining all the way from Tennessee through North Carolina....it sucked so bad.

But we are finally home and getting back in the swing of things. I can tell Rosslyn is so happy to be back. Thankfully we won't have to take another trip like that for quite sometime. And when we move home, we may stop at a hotel so it will be easier on Rosslyn.

That's about it. I was so tired this morning that I forgot Rosslyn had a WIC appointment. But I called and they'll be having the same class all this week. And I have to take that class before I can get my voucher. I don't know what I'm going to do though, we'll only be down here for a couple more weeks, which I'll use that but then when I get in Kentucky I'll have to switch it over. Hopefully I won't lose anything.

Have a great day everyone!!

We went to Bucca Di Beppo for my cousin's Bat Mitzvah dinner the night before her party. The food was SO good. I was really surprised when they brought out the "appetizer" though. It was a freakin' pizza! How is that an appetizer? I was so full from the salad and pizza that I just ate roasted veggies and had a super small serving of spaghetti when they got around to serving the meal.
