This has been one of the most amazing, frustrating, growing, changing, awesome years of my life. And I wouldn't change it for anything. I am so very thankful for everything I have. I am thankful to be alive first and foremost. I am thankful to have my husband who wen to Iraq and back twice. I am thankful for my daughter and the amazing way in which she was born. I am thankful to have such a strong net of support and love from both sides of the family. I am thankful that I finally have a family of my own. I am thankful for all the men and women who are overseas right now fighting to defend my right to do what I do and are sacrificing their time with their family. I am thankful that America is moving in a new progressive direction and hopefully we can mend broken ties with certain countries.
Although this year has been met with a lot of tragedy too, I am thankful that I had the people around me whenever it happened.
So today, when you're eating your turkey, over-indulging in pie and football, really remember what today means and give thanks to someone. Even if you don't know them.
